- SODIUM :- It maintains acid base balance of body fluids. It also maintains the osmotic pressure of the body fluids.
- POTASSIUM :- It maintains acid base balance of body fluids. It also helps in muscle contraction. Muscle function is affected due to deficiency of potassium.
- CALCIUM :- It has a great role in teeth and bone formation. It is also a coagulation factor. Due to deficiency of calcium bones becomes weak, and affects blood coagulation which results in unstoppable bleeding after a minor cut.
- PHOSPHOROUS :- It helps in synthesis of DNA and RNA. It helps in synthesis of phospholipids. Phospholipid is a type fat.
- SULPHUR :- It is a component of biotin, cystine and methionine. It nourishes the hair.
